Temperature regulation

The ability of the body to adjust heat loss to maintain a constant body temperature.

Sweating occurs to increase heat loss and cool the body, while shivering occurs to generate more heat and warm the body.

Alcohol interferes with temperature regulation, which could cause the body to become either too hot or too cold, depending on the situation.
