spinal canal

Vertebral canal. A relatively narrow tubular passage or channel in the spine, encasing the spinal cord and the nerves. It changes in size at different levels, and its diameter can be measured very well with axial views of the CT scan. spinal compression- Condition where pressure is exerted on the spinal cord, as by a tumor, spinal fracture, etc.
